"The catechesis of adults...is the principal form of catechesis, because it is addressed to persons who have the greatest responsibilities and the capacity to live the Christian message in its fully developed form. The catechetical formation of adults is essential for the Church to carry out the commission given the apostles by Christ. Because of its importance and because all other forms of catechesis of adults must have high priority at all levels of the Church." (National Directory for Catechesis, p. 187)
St. Michael the Archangel Parish recognized that our Catholic Faith is a priceless treasure that is worthy of our time and study, as well as a treasure to be shared and passed on to others. One of our Lord's final commands was "to make disciples" of the entire world (Mt 28: 18-20). In order to make disciples, we must first be disciples. This means seeking to know Jesus more deeply as the Way, the Truth, and the Life in our own lives. Our task as Catholics is to know the faith, to live the faith and to spread the faith. As the Catechism states, "you cannot live your faith if you do not know it, and you cannot share with others what you do not first make your own."
The Parish Bible Study provides an opportunity for any parishioner or community member to study selected books of the Bible.

NEW Study Program
It is our call to grow in our understanding of our faith. Our parish offers opportunities of a systematic, theological study of the Catholic faith for adults of our parish to help them grow both spiritually and in their knowledge of the Church doctrine and truth.

EVENINGS OF REFLECTION
These programs provide an opportunity to gather with other men or women of our parish for an evening of community, prayer and reflection to nourish and strengthen our relationship with God and to build community within our parish.
Advent by Candlelight
Advent By Candlelight focuses on the types of prayer and the importance of praying. Presenters interweave prayers, psalms, and song as they open their lives of prayers. All women of St. Michael Parish and their guests—especially women who have not attended in the past—are encouraged to attend, and, in the spirit of Christian hospitality, leaving an open spot or two for women coming on their own is urged. This reflection is held in the auditorium in December. Advance reservations are required and groups of three or more who would like to attend together are encouraged to hostess a table; otherwise, a seat together cannot be guaranteed. Please contact Susan Campbell firstname.lastname@example.org at 419-425-8594 to hostess a table or to reserve a place for yourself.
Men's Evening of Reflection
Men’s Evening of Reflection is a program of food, fun, and faith that provides an opportunity to gather with other men of our parish for an evening of community, prayer, and reflection to nourish and strengthen that all-important relationship with God. These evenings are held in the auditorium during the fall and spring of each year, and are 1 ½ to 2 hours long.
